Prescriptive Calculations

Prescriptive calculations ASHRAE 90.1 and ASHRAE 62.1 are enabled on the Calculations tab. 2010, 2007 and 2004 versions of the calculations are provided.

External Shading

A new Shading tab is added for modeling "buildings" (shapes/solids) external to the energy model Building to simulate the effect of their shades on the building. The tab contains standard Platform tools used for creating shapes and solids. A new Shading Object is created in the energy model each time an external building is selected using the new Create Shading tool. These objects are used in Simulations.

CIBSE Maxi Gain Calculation

A new Steady State Calculation CIBSE Maxi Gain is added to the Calculations tab. It is used to calculate maximum gains for a specified set of rooms and time span using adjustable design data.

Room Schedule

A new Room Schedule tool is added to the Calculations ribbon. It is used to generate a report listing all rooms by floor, area and volume totals, building occupancy, and building material specifications.
